The museum was originally founded in 1986 by a group of citizens interested in preserving ad promoting the heritage of Woodburn. Some of these early volunteers included: Lou Jane Cornwell, Red Eaden, Kathy Figley, Paul Graham, Nevin Holly, Ed Murphy, Tom Pantle, Paul Serres, Gene Stoller, Hazel Smith, Gail Wengenroth, and Vance Yoder. Today the Woodburn Museum & Bungalow Theatre are part of the City of Woodburn.
The museum is made possible through the efforts of staff and volunteers. For information about volunteering click here.
Bungalow Theatre
The Bungalow Theater has been a fixture of Woodburn since 1911. The theatre includes many of the historic cinema related object and old-time movie memorabilia. We would like the Bungalow Theater to once again be a gathering place for the community to put on plays, see presentations, watch movies, and socialize. Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events and performances.
