Fiesta Court

Null

The City of Woodburn is pleased to announce the 2016 Fiesta Mexicana Court members. From left to right: Karen Serrato, Jacqueline Soto, and Karla Garcia. These ladies have a busy month ahead of them with guest appearances, leadership skill development, and participating in service projects. The Coronation of the Queen will take place at Fiesta on Friday, August 5 at 6pm on the main stage. The Court will be available for autographs and photographs throughout the three day event at Legion Park. Congratulations Karen, Jacqueline, and Karla!

Null Karen Serrato: Karen will be a senior at WAAST High School this fall. Her favorite part of Fiesta is that it is a traditional event that allows people to come together, listen to music, and eat good food. The one thing she wants people to know about Woodburn is that while it is a small community, everyone sticks together. Karen is the oldest of six kids, she loves listening to Spanish and Pop dance music, and playing the guitar.
Null Jacqueline Soto: Jacqueline will be a junior at WACA High School this fall. Her favorite part of Fiesta is that it celebrates her culture with a lot of fun activities. The one thing she wants people to know about Woodburn is that it is a diverse community where everyone is welcome, and everyone accepts everybody else. Jacqueline enjoys helping out her family by babysitting, loves to draw and paint, and considers herself a very strong person who doesn’t give up easily.
Null Karla Garcia: Karla will be a senior at WAAST High School this fall. Her favorite part of Fiesta is that it acknowledges culture, carries on traditions, and of course the court. The one thing she wants people to know about Woodburn is that there are many different cultures here; and it is a small, friendly, and safe community. Karla enjoys running early to catch the sunrise, playing tennis even though she’s not really good at it, and she loves to laugh a lot.
