Community Education classes are designed to help adults or children explore an interest or enhance a skill.

 

 

 

 

Red Cross Babysitter Safety Training

March 11th; 10:00am-5:00pm
Registration Deadline: February 27th, 2017

Woodburn Public Library
Ages 11+ welcome to this important training for potential babysitters. The class is exciting, interactive and provides extensive training in pediatric first aid, household safety and the fundamentals of childcare.
$45 includes 6.5 hours of instruction, manual and complete card.

 

Beginning Guitar Workshop

March 4th; 10:00am-12:00pm
Registration Deadline: February 20th, 2017

Woodburn Public Library
Learn the basics of how to play guitar in this fun class geared toward youth (ages 10+) and adults. Begin playing right away as you learn basic chords and beginner leavel popular songs. Students must bring their own guitar. $20

 

Adult Cooking Classes - Piroshki!

February 18th; 10:00am-12:00pm
Registration Deadline: February 6th, 2017

Location: Harvest Kitchen at Woodburn Health Center
Learn how to make the classic Russian Piroshki! Piroshki are individual-sized baked or fried buns stuffed with a variety of fillings - Russian comfort food at its best! Brought to you by Mama's Russian Food Restaurant of Woodburn. Participants learn how to make the recipe, will get to sample their recipe, and have extra to take home.
Pre-registration is required, $30 per person.

 

Youth Cooking Classes - Cinco de Mayo!

April 18th; 10:00am-5:00pm
Registration Deadline: April 3rd, 2017

Location: Harvest Kitchen at Woodburn Health Center
Kids in the Kitchen is brought to you by the Oregon State University Extension office of Marion County and is intended for parents or caregivers to participate with their kids, ages 6 and older.
Prepare three healthy festive recipes to welcome the season. The skills to prep meals might include: reading recipes, cutting, measuring, and flipping food on a stove. At the end of the course, enjoy the meals you've made!
Pre-registration is required, $9 per child.
